Kick off 2020 with this special Takedown event! [UPDATE]

Posted: Dec 20 2019

Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite will scale to your party size during this limited-time Borderlands 3 event!

UPDATED: January 14, 2020

To help you get 2020 started right with maximum amounts of mayhem, we've planned a special event focused on the endgame challenge of Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite. This event wasn't quite ready for New Year's Eve as originally planned, but as you might've seen in the Borderlands 3 Hotfixes for January 9, Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite will soon scale to the number of players in your party for a limited time, from January 16 to January 30.

Typically, the Takedown is tuned to challenge full parties of four max-level Vault Hunters, and is extremely difficult if you're trying to take it on in a smaller group or solo. If you've wanted to experience Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite but were having a hard time making progress or finding a party, this is the perfect opportunity to jump in and wreak havoc on Maliwan's most elite soldiers and robots. Granted, it's still fundamentally designed for level 50 Vault Hunters with impressive gear, so make sure you come prepared no matter your party size.

This event will commence on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC via a hotfix on Thursday, January 16 at 9:00 AM PST and will conclude when another hotfix deploys on Thursday, January 30 at 8:59 AM PST. To apply hotfixes, simply wait at the main menu until you see a "Hotfixes Applied" sign appear on the post behind your Vault Hunter! After January 30, we'll be bringing Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite back up to its intended difficulty level, so be sure to jump in ASAP if you haven't taken on this endgame encounter just yet.
